National Food and Drug Standards Work Promotion Conference held in our province
From May 24th to 25th, the National Food and Drug Standards Work Promotion Conference was held in Hefei. Director Yu Jun of the Science and Technology Standards Division of the State Food and Drug Administration, relevant personnel from the Standards Management Office, and heads of relevant departments in charge of standards work from provincial-level bureaus attended the meeting. Deputy Director Gao Huaichuan of the Provincial Bureau attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech.
At the meeting, the Science and Technology Standards Division of the State Administration reported on the recent progress of standards work. Provincial-level bureaus reported one by one on the measures and progress in implementing the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in Food Safety Standards Work" (Food and Drug Administration Office Science [2017] No. 7) issued by the Office of the State Food and Drug Administration. Discussions were also held on food safety standards skills competitions, standards and supplementary testing methods, and related work on rapid food testing.
During the meeting, Director Yu Jun visited the Provincial Food and Drug Testing Institute, the Si Lihe Food and Drug Supervision and Administration Office of Hefei's Luyang District, and the Zhong Caishi Market in Luyang District to investigate and understand the construction of food and drug testing and inspection capabilities in our province and the operation of grassroots rapid food testing work. Deputy Director Gao Huaichuan of the Provincial Bureau accompanied the investigation.
