Provincial and municipal authorities convened a scheduling meeting on the crackdown on fraudulent and misleading advertising of food and health food.

　　To solidly advance the province-wide rectification work on food and health food fraud and false advertising, and continuously consolidate the rectification results, the Provincial Bureau held a work dispatch meeting on May 4. Deputy Director Zhang Song gave a speech at the meeting, and relevant department heads of the Provincial Bureau attended the meeting.

　　The meeting pointed out that since the deployment of the special rectification work, governments and regulatory departments at all levels have, in accordance with the rectification plan, designated personnel in charge, clarified responsibilities, refined measures, regularly summarized accounts, and the rectification work has been proceeding in an orderly manner as planned, achieving phased results. However, there are still problems such as insufficiently timely publicity and information reporting, and insufficiently prominent work characteristics and highlights, which need to be seriously addressed.

　　The meeting emphasized that carrying out rectification of food and health food fraud and false advertising is an effective measure to implement the food safety strategy. Regulatory departments at all levels should further deepen their understanding, raise their political standing, always shoulder the responsibility for rectification, and keep the rectification tasks in hand, promoting the effective implementation of the rectification work with a strong sense of political responsibility. We must further strengthen inspections and spot checks, organize special inspections, and make up for deficiencies to effectively clear the "last mile" of rectification work. We must further increase publicity efforts, continuously carry out publicity activities on the new "Food Safety Law," the "Anhui Provincial Food Safety Regulations," and common sense of health food, promptly publish inspection and spot check information on food and health food, promote the advanced experience and practices of cities in rectification work, and increase the exposure of illegal and irregular behaviors. We should strengthen the analysis and research of the progress of the rectification work and include the rectification work situation in the annual food and drug safety assessment.

　　Recently, the Provincial Food and Drug Safety Office will also organize relevant departments to hold consultations, strengthen joint efforts, and further promote the special rectification of food and health food fraud and false advertising.
